Concept: Twitter Application by digitalsoft Concept: Twitter Application by digitalsoft
Update: [link] - New developed design.

This is my first conceptual design of a Twitter application. Inspired by my Facebook Chat concept, the difference with this concept over other concepts I make is that this design is highly likely to be made.

This is an incomplete design at the moment but it’s coming along pretty well I feel and should make a pretty cool Twitter application.

awesome! I'd love to have this design implemented in an app. AIR would be great because it could also be used in *nix env. like Ubuntu. Also, it would be awesome if we could "stick" the whole window and cover the desktop height so we can have a topmost app showing the timeline without taking lot of space from our desk

I was trying to make a twitter client using qt/c++...Would you mind if I use this skin?
Basically everything is in low progress,so...
Anyway,if you think that it's not appropriate,I just try another skin.

Hm, what if you used gray glyphs for the input area? I didn't notice those icons up until now btw :P

Awesome, and not a problem at all :) I'm thinking about designing full mockups instead of visual styles after Emendo, just like you're doing.

You should really find someone who can code this in Adobe Air. This looks totally awesome. Though the icons should be a bit bigger imo.

Yeah I'm thinking about the development of the application. I've had a few offers and just weighing up what would be best for the quality of the build.

I tried the icons larger but it took too much focus off of the content. As the colour scheme is rather bold I felt this was too much.

Ah, that's really nice to hear :D

How large did you try the icons? I think that 16x16 looks good and not too intrusive.

I did try 16x16 but it didnt work for the input area at all. it would work ok for the bar at the bottom but the mix of different sizes just doesnt look good.

It would be fairly easy to build in Adobe AIR.

That looks pretty good man.
A thing I would change is move the writing part to the bottom. At the bottom feels more natural. Maybe have different color themes too.
That is an app I would use. :)

Thanks a lot! :)

Yeah, I did originally plan to have the text box at the bottom of the application but I actually forgot about it half way through making the design. It’s something I shall definitely look into, thanks.
